This former stately home from the 18th century was once an ownership of the aristocratic family Ruggieri. It was tastefully transformed into the cosy small hotel with a special atmosphere and furniture in proper style. The basic structure of a building was carefully preserved. The main portal leads to a well-kept small Mediterranean-style garden with old palm trees. The outdoor furniture is placed around a Greek column. The main axis of the garden leads to the perron (i.e. external staircase of the villa) from which you enter the reception. Having left the reception and going straight away, you enter the stylish furnished and splendid equipped spacious hall (with TV) of this absolutely unique villa.

In the former servants' quarters on the ground floor there are now a large restaurant with a vaulted ceiling for private celebrations and a lately renewed bar. When the weather is good, the guests may eat breakfast on the large terrace which is just near the restaurant on the southern side of the house. The hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet with local products from 8 am. to 11 a.m. 

The very good beach restaurant Da Lucio is known for its really tasty and fresh seafood. It is located directly on the beach and open from May until September. The guests of the Villa Ducale have a special opportunity to dine in the restaurant at the discounted prices. 

The interior decoration of the villa is a perfect combination of an ancient style and  a modern style. There are not more than about 20 spacious Superior Rooms (2-4 beds) in the villa. They are on the main floor and in the side wing of the main floor.

The Standard Rooms are on the first floor and have mansard roof, which provides a very homely atmosphere.

All of the rooms offer: bathroom, telephone and air conditioning. Some rooms also have a balcony. The large roof terrace with a fantastic view over the sea, over the offshore island Cirella (also a private property of the hotel owners) and of Cirella Antica (the abandoned village on the top of the mountain) is also at the disposal of all the guests. The guests of the rooms on the sea side also have a delightful view of a former park surrounding the villa, of a sea (only 50 m away) and of a small island.  

The beach service is in the offer from June until September.

The owner of the villa also offer different corporate sport courses and entertainment (only for the guests with a club card). A tennis court, which is not far a way from the villa, is against payment at the guests' disposal. Directly in front of the villa there are some small bays with sand and pebbles. The water in the sea is here crystal clear. The main beach of Cirella is about 150 away.
